Attracting an impressive attendance of 18,768 visitors, this fair has firmly established itself as a significant joint exhibition. Attendees explored diverse innovations alongside a rich program of activities, including guided tours, networking events, and innovation reviews.
This year, four EIP operational groups from Estonia were invited to participate in the Innovation Market.
BeefEst
This project aims to develop a prototype application for beef cattle farmers to manage herd data efficiently. The BeefEst app will integrate breeding and pedigree information with daily health data and herd and pasture management details. Designed for both crossbred and purebred beef cattle farmers, this tool aims to facilitate the collection and utilization of vital data, ultimately enhancing daily herd management.
Authentic Honey Meets DNA Technology
This innovative approach employs DNA analysis to assess traces from nectar, pollen, and honey production environments, including plants, animals, bacteria, fungi, and viruses. This comprehensive analysis offers honey producers proof of their products' authentic composition and origin, ensuring fair and transparent competition in the honey market.

Grain Dryer Digitalisation
This initiative aims to modernize grain dryers built 10-20 years ago that still operate well but lack technological efficiency. By digitalizing these dryers, operators can significantly reduce drying costs. This technology gathers temperature data and employs AI to accurately predict when a batch will be ready, thus optimizing the drying process.
WiseCow
This bovine health implant and corresponding animal health profiling system allow for early detection of health issues up to 48 hours before clinical signs appear. Continuous 24/7 health monitoring and life cycle data are available for every animal. The WiseCow Find solution features LED collars for cows, providing a quick visual way to locate animals, supported by intelligent software.
In addition to the EIP operational groups from Estonia and Finland, the event also hosted the PREMIERE and EU-FarmBook projects. The EU-FarmBook project showcased its online, open-access platform to enhance knowledge sharing and collaboration across the agricultural sector.
From a visitor survey, 30 responses were collected, highlighting expectations surrounding the EU-FarmBook platform. "Participants emphasized the need for a user-friendly interface where information is easily accessible," stated the report. There was also a strong desire for the platform to serve as a central resource for consolidated agricultural knowledge.
Visitors expressed various expectations from the EU-FarmBook platform, including:
- Centralized Information: A single access point for relevant data.
- Networking Opportunities: Connections with colleagues across the EU for collaboration.
- Innovative Content: Practical articles and success stories from around the world to aid real-world application.
Reflecting on the event's impact, attendees acknowledged the critical role of online platforms in facilitating agricultural advancements. The insights shared at the Innovation Market underscore the ongoing transformation in the sector, driven by the need for collaboration, new technologies, and knowledge exchange.
