The EU-FarmBook Online Platform is currently under development to test a significant idea: can all the tangible outputs of EU-funded research and innovation projects be gathered and organized in one user-friendly platform? The goal is to facilitate the transfer of practical knowledge to farmers, foresters, and advisors across Europe who need it the most. With a high likelihood, the future of agricultural and forestry innovation in Europe is digital, necessitating a substantial improvement in the digital exchange of knowledge among EU regions, Member States, and various agricultural stakeholders. EU-FarmBook addresses the genuine needs of farmers, foresters, and advisors.
The Horizon Europe project provides an interactive, multi-lingual meeting place for agriculture and forestry communities, granting access to trustworthy knowledge objects based on findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable data principles. EU-FarmBook users can interact and explore innovative solutions to their daily challenges.
The tangible impact of EU-FarmBook is manifested through practice-oriented communications, diverse dissemination channels, on-farm demonstrations, and widespread educational programs. In collaboration with related projects such as modernAKIS and ATTRACTISS, EU-FarmBook supports Member States’ AKIS Actors, CAP Networks, and EIP-AGRI Service Points through a multi-actor approach

The coordinator of the Project is Ghent University, Belgium. 29 EU partner organizations are working to build a Europe-wide digital platform that collects and shares agricultural and forestry knowledge.
