Project aims to:
- profile the agriculturally important plant pathogen Zymoseptoria tritici, the causal agent of septoria tritici blotch (STB),
- analyze the evolution and fitness penalties of Z. tritici fungicide-resistant isolates in Estonia,
- apply rapid diagnostics of fungicide-resistant Z. tritici.
Expected outcome:
- improved crop disease prevention and control strategies,
- prolonged effectiveness of fungicides,
- minimized development and spread of fungicide resistance in the pathogen population.
